Introduction to the film industry:
Thank you for taking an interest in joining our production. There are a few things to keep in mind if you wish to go forward with your application. Key items are listed below
Hours:
As a standard, the New Zealand Film industry operates on a 10 hour minimum day which in most cases excludes travel. The nature of this production will require early starts for multiple departments, and it is expected that the set will be operating from early morning until late in the evening. Hours can differ day to day for each crew member and will likely fall outside of a standard business day (9am-5pm). There is also the potential of night shoots.
Transport:
All crew must be able to make their own way to set as transport is not provided. Parking will be available onsite.
Catering:
Catering and coffee will be provided onset.
Policies:
As part of our crew, you will be required to abide by our health and safety and HR policies as well as our requirements around confidentiality and IP. It is imperative that we keep our activity confidential, no photography, filming or posting to social media is permitted under any circumstances.
All crew will be required to sign our standard crew contracts, and associated paperwork (NDAs etc).
Accounting:
All crew are considered self employed contractors and as such you are responsible for your own tax / GST / ACC payments where applicable.
Covid Requirements:
It is a studio requirement that all cast and crew Covid test at least 3 times a week. This frequency may change from time to time. This includes RAT (rapid antigen tests) and PCR (saliva) tests. Both are non invasive and quick.
These tests are self administered and supervised by one of the Yenedakine Covid Team.
Results of the tests are used for internal record keeping only. However if you test positive on a RAKO PCR your result is shared with NZ Govt as Covid is a notifiable disease.
The testing is compulsory and must be done by all cast and crew
